Every successful project begins with a clear vision. We work closely with our clients to understand their goals, priorities, and long-term needs—transforming ideas into a strategic plan that guides the entire building process from concept to completion:

• Will this be your primary residence, vacation home, rental, or mixed-use property?
• Approximate square footage you are considering? Bedrooms/Bathrooms?
• Do you need shop space, garage bays, RV storage, or workspace?
• Preferred style: modern farmhouse, industrial, rustic, contemporary, other?
• Do you have inspirational photos or links you’d like to share?

To help us better understand your project and site conditions, please provide as much detail in our initial consultation.   Providing this information upfront allows us to accurately assess feasibility, timeline, and potential site preparation requirements:

• Do you currently own the land?
• Property address or general location?
• Has a survey/soil test been completed?
• Is the lot cleared?
• Are the utilities available on-site? (water, septic/sewer, electric, gas)
• Are there HOA or county restrictions we should be aware of?

Understanding your investment range and financing plan helps us design a project that aligns with your goals from the start.    Clarifying these details early allows us to tailor the scope, materials, and design to best match your vision and financial plan. 

• Estimated overall budget range?
• Are you paying cash or financing?  If financing, are you pre-approved?
• Are  you looking for shell-only, partial DIY, or a turnkey build?
• Which areas are most important to invest in? Kitchen, exterior finishes, shop space, porch and outdoor living areas, etc?

This section helps us understand your style preferences and functional priorities so we can bring your vision to life.    The more detail you provide, the better we can design a space that reflects your lifestyle and priorities. 

• Do you already have architectural floor plans? 
•  Do you have specific energy-efficiency goals or performance standards in mind? 
•  Are you interested in vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, or a specific ceiling height? 
•  What exterior finishes do you prefer? Metal siding, stone, wood accents, a combination?
• Any custom specialty features? (Loft, safe room, hidden pantry, oversized garage      doors, etc.)

Establishing a clear timeline helps us plan efficiently and set realistic expectations from the beginning.    Understanding your timeframe allows us to align scheduling, subcontractors, and material procurement to keep your project moving smoothly. 

• When would you ideally like to begin construction?
• Is there a completion deadline we should plan around?
•  Are you flexible if permitting, inspections, weather or material availability impact the scheduling timeline? 

Clear communication and aligned expectations are key to a successful project.  Understanding your decision-making process helps us provide the right level of guidance and support from start to finish. 

•  Who will be involved in final decisions throughout the build process? 
•  Have you built a home or completed a custom build before? 
•  Are you currently gathering multiple bids? 
• What is most important to you when choosing a builder? (Budget, quality,      communication, experience, timeline, other) ?
